The HSUS-led Ohioans for Humane Farms dropped their ballot campaign when industry agreed to implement some regulations: http://www.humanesociety.org/news/press ... 63010.html
Look what the executive vice president of the Ohio Farm Bureau says about this deal with HSUS:
"This is all about risk management for our industry," Fisher said. "It's a commitment on behalf of the Humane Society and the agricultural community. We are both interested in animal care and animal welfare. This is about a way to achieve that."

Once again, food-industry enslavers and so-called "animal protection" groups claim victory while the moral rights of cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, and others continue to be violated for trivial human gain.
No justice can be won for nonhuman animals while they are categorized as legal property. We can make a difference for them now by going vegan and encouraging others to go vegan. Only with enough social intolerance of speciesism and political support for emancipation can we make significant gains to dismantle these industries, abolishing the status of nonhuman animals as chattel property and securing their basic rights as persons in custom and law.
